Pigeons are also known as Rock Doves. They 'nest' in high places using a basic scrape rather than a nest. As city and townspeople call them a pest and they are not by any means endangered, nobody wants to go 'AAHH' over them.
If you get chance to go into the 'awkward spaces' in high buildings and cathedrals you will see them.

I raised and rescued pigeons. I've got lots of photos of chicks. They are so ugly they are cute.

There are many uglier birds than rock doves. Actually, many are beautiful birds. It's there habit of dumping on my truck that inhibits my affection for them. Boy, I'm glad that cows don't Fly!
