Not the Nikon, but I think a fisheye is essential. You can get various effects with it, depending on the closeness and angle to the subject. I have a Sigma 16mm ($655) from 2012.

It's the only fisheye I own, incredibly sharp. If you buy used MAKE SURE it comes with the filter kit, essential!

I bought one a couple of years ago and although, as a fisheye, it has limited use - I have captured some excellent images with it and love it the lens.

I've been thinking about getting a fisheye also. Maybe this will be the encouragement I need to go ahead and get it.

Own both it and the 10.5 - I second any and all superlatives presented!
