Welcome to Day 172 :) Today it's all about Skyscrapers.
Now before those of you that live in the country start complaining ... We don't have any skyscrapers in Tucson either. Most of our buildings are 5 or 6 stories. So if the tallest building you have is 2 stories tall .. then it counts as a local skyscraper. Here are a few examples to get us started... I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.
This is about it for us.
Gee Hal.you beat me to silos submissions...........all i have left is a pic of a 2 storey outhouse..gotta wait till its vacant first

Well I hope this challenge doesnt mean just local skyscrapers....here are pics I shot while visiting New York City...and Philadelphia and Atlantic city...I think most are of New York city though...and that was in 2009 and I can tell how much my photography has improved since then! The first one .... is the skyline of Anchorage...taken a few days ago at nearly midnight.
Wonderful photos Laskalass

Supposed to be brutally hot with the beginning of the first heat wave today what luck...HA

Ah, back to Baltimore I go. Odd assortment and mix of the old and new.
All the people in their transparent cubical steeple
No sense of decorum or anything else
More than one person thought it a good place to build a tall skinny thing. Weird.

Here is one from Baltimore.
Posting early again.Friends coming today and heat stiflingÂ…rarely hits 90s in Maine and if so, not till July. To have it this hot this soon is unusual. Skyscrapers around here are weather vanes, steeples and cupolas...

Very nice. I still owe you some better pictures of our land grant university buildings, circa 1860's.
