Hi everyone
I have done what every beginning photographer dreads--- I deleted my photos by accident on my Nikon D3200.
I looked up (googled) how to retrieve them and most of the instructions are beyond me or they are for a PC. First of all I use a Mac second of all the card is in my camera and I have never used it in my computer but apparently you need to use the computer to get the pictures back. Can anybody help refer me to an easy-to-use program to do this? Thank you in advance!!!

Welcome to our forum!

Take it one step at a time. A program called Recuva can get back lost images. There should be a small slot in your computer to insert the SD card.

EXCEPT that Recuva is a PC-based program and the OP says she is using a MAC. /Ralph

Is there possibly a video I could follow along while doing this? I looked at several of the websites you recommended (Thanks!) but it was all Greek to me.
My MAC is OSX10.11.6 if that helps.
Thanks,
Colleen

Check with the manufacturer of your memory card. Some of them have free recovery software.

I can't contribute any technical knowledge to you except to say,.....i feel ya. Been there, done that, and even years into learning while occasional shooting, I'd still be most comfortable shooting a Polaroid Land camera if the film was affordable.

Recuva works great, just make sure you do not shoot on the card again before you use the software.

My wife accidentally deleted all images from a memory card full of photos from Machu Pichu. I was sick until I discovered images can be restored by my UDMA Colorspace memory card storage device, available and described on Amazon. I bought the cheapest model. Works like a charm.

Both Lexar and Sandisk have recovery programs sometimes free with the purchase of a memory card.
Both work well
