lightroom print module

when I go to print, it only gives me the print to file on the lower right hand side, you have the word print and print to file the word print is never highlighted and I cant use it. If you could help with this, please let me know'

Where it says "Print to" just below Print Job did you select "Printer"?

thanks I will try this when I get home will this make the "print" highlght so I can use it? I watch viedos on youtube, and they always hit print..

Make sure your printer is connected and the default is set correctly. Print a test print from the Control Panel (Windows)
In Lightroom, on the bottom left of the Print Module is "Page Set Up". Open this and check that the printer showing is the default printer. The Set up box on mine will indicate Status - Ready.
On the Set up panel, click on Properties and check to ensure the correct paper size and paper source are both correct.
Click on OK to close the dialogue.
Click on OK to close the set up dialogue.
Back in the Print Module, click on Single Image/Contact Sheet
Ensure the image on screen is how you want to print
On the Print Job panel, make sure it reads "Print to: Printer" (If it reads "Print to Jpeg file", the print button will be greyed out)
Press the Print Button

If you select "Printer" then the buttons on the bottom should change to "Print" and "Printer...".
I am assuming you know that your printer is properly installed and working.

I have set all that up, im wondering why the PRINT button is not lit up, I can print to file no with no problem

When you say "Not lit up" - when you mouse over it nothing happens? If you click on it nothing happens?
Did you go into page setup on the left and select the necessary options?
What operating system and type of printer?

yes it is not lit up however the print to file is lit up. I wont be able to check it until after work. watching you tube viedos both are lit up and they hit print.
and yes nothing happens when mouse is over it I use mac
