Today was our once a year volunteer Oregon beach clean up. SOLV (Stop Oregon Litter and Vandalism). There were 300 volunteers at this beach signed up. Other beaches had cleanup sites up and down the coast.
Last night the clouds were rolling in. We woke up this morning and it was raining. Rain or shine the beaches were cleaned. One of the many things I like about our state.

Thank you. That's not work. It is a excuse to go to the beach. The beach is all cleaned up for you. There were nearly 5,000 volunteers up and down the Oregon coast. It was awesome.

Great image, great volunteer work on your part. We have been to Cannon Beach and as you know, a beautiful coastal town. We enjoy Rockaway Beach to the south for its quaint and small town atmosphere.

Thank you. I have been going to this area for over 65 years. Never get tired if it. Years ago I owned property in Arch Cape, just north of Cannon Beach. It got to be to much upkeep. Sold it and bought a time share. Now I pick which beach I want to visit and let someone else do the upkeep.

Very nice shot of Haystack rock. My stepson was there helping with the beach cleanup; great annual event.

I'd hate to have our beaches turn into garbage dumps. I want my kids and grand-kids to have the great memories I have. Part of which is being able to play on clean, safe beaches. The halo you see is the sun starting to set behind Haystack Rock. It was taken about six in the evening. Between the clouds coming in and the sun setting it cast a weird glow.
