Thanks for your link, I've been looking for that system for my Canon Pixma pro 100 printer.
Please let us know how that all works out for you!

A Canon printer knows when you use an authorized Canon replacement cartridge, or anything else. Be careful to NOT void your warrantee.

I am thinking of getting this printer. Some of you must have it, and if so please let me know if it is worth getting it. Or should I get the Pro 10 instead. This will be my first printer. Or should I not bother at all and just send my photos to a lab?
Get it soon, there's a rebate going on!
Thank you all. I got my pixma pro 100 at a great price. Now I have to figure out how to set it up with my IMac(Yosemite ).

What was the great price if you don't mind?

$ 125 brand new and unopened. I picked it up so no shipping costs from Bay Area. Checked to see if everything was there. It all checked out. Thank you all for your feedback. At this price buying an extra set of cartridges is feasible! Now to figure out how to set it up! Watching videos on utube helps also any recomendations always helpful. This printer was shipped to this person from Adorama, so that peaked my interest.

It is a good deal, well done. Don't hurt your back lifting it!

For the future: I've found that B&H generally has the best prices on the inks and no sales tax or freight if the order is over $50.00 so I always find something, even if it is an extra ink cartridge, to push it over the $50. Delivery from NYC to here is generally second day, but longer around Christmas.
I' using a corner desk that is projects about 60" out along each wall; the wings are about 20" deep. I just put it on one wing so it sits about 3" from the wall; as long as you don't need the front feed tray, it fits and works fine. If I ever have to use the front feed, I'll just temporarily turn it 90 degrees and make due, but with up to 17" long paper, it works.
Good Luck with the printer and let us know how you like it.

I use the Pro 100. I did not get this printer so save money on a per print basis but to maintain control over the print colors. I randomly print with various sizes for friends and family. It allows for adjustments between the monitor I use and the eventual print. The prints were dull at first but I had to reduce my monitor intensity a lot. I use Canon paper. I have not had a clogged printer head issue like I did with all my inkjets, despite sometimes going for months without use. I am very satisfied with the quality now that I have a reasonable match with my monitor.
I believe the Pro 100 is an inkjet printer.

You are correct, I meant to include 'older' as an adjective to inkjets. I had stopped buying them for the past 6 or so years since they always clogged up (HP, Epson, Lexmark). Since I have become more serious in my photography hobby I tried the highly rated Pro 100 and have had much better luck with the clogging, even after 3 months or so of no use.
