I'm a beginner. I had a 35mm Minolta outfit back in the early 90's but I've been out of it since about '94 when my camera broke. I always looked at cameras in the stores and online and thought about buying one but couldn't afford it, being 'Married with Children'. Now, with the kids out of the house I have some extra money, I want to buy a DSLR and start shooting again, mostly wildlife, some landscapes and portraits (mostly of the grand kids).
I'm hoping to learn a lot from everyone here and maybe pass on some of my limited knowledge.
Welcome! Funny how your wallet gets fatter when the kids leave:),my father said the same. I just joined the forum and am a beginner photographer as well.

Welcome. I kept my Minolta camera and found that the lenses would fit on the Sony A series - just in case you still have your Minolta lenses. Lots of good people and advice on this forum. Have fun.
