Interesting article.
Thank you for the link.
I've also gone to monochromatic printing to save on printing costs. Why use color printer ink when just printing text?
I personally only buy OEM carts for my laser printer but I do refill my own for my Pixma Pro 100 and I also purchase 3rd party empty cartridges for refill as well. I wonder how that will effect home refill buff's like me? If they are not carful how they rule on this one it could cost the consumer a lot of money and heartburn.

Imagine what would have happened 30 years ago if SCOTUS has ruled against digital re-duplication of music and movies, etc. The world as we know it would have been entirely different.

How about the 'Polaroid Method?' Invent a camera & film system, patent it so no one else can make film for the camera, or a camera for the film. Then, a few yrs later, bring out a 'new & improved' camera & film system. Repeat the process. Ca early to mid 50's - roll b & w film & cameras, 60's - color & b & w pack film & cameras, 70's SX-70 'instant' film & cameras, 80's - Spectra. . . and minor variations along the way.
