I'm looking for a realistic manikin for lighting practice on female headshots. Can't seem to find one. Help.
"realistic manikin for lighting practice on female headshots..."
Robert you would be best served by a Cosmetology Training Mannequin with Human Hair...
https://www.amazon.com/Bellrino-Cosmetology-Mannequin-Manikin-Training/dp/B00BZF74NKPlease be certain to get one with real Human Hair in as the synthetic doesn't photograph the same...
btw, I have two of these and find auburn the most universal for lighting configuration testing...
Keep in mind that raven black hair is totally different... sometimes at least two stops so...
I've always use a manikin BEFORE the client arrives... been doing so for many years now...
And please accept my apologies for the previous immature post... sadly some tactless folks just don't get it...
Hope this helps...
I wish you well on your journey Robert

This is a smart move. Stan pointed you to eBay and that looks like a good option. You need a face with cheeks and other lifelike features to get the modeling right. Wish these had been around when I was learning. Commercial mannequins were about $400 back then.
Thank all of you for your suggestions. I have located the perfect one.
