A bit too much use of color saturation for my taste, but a nice sharp photo. We've been to the canyon several times and the variations of color and texture are dramatic in their own right and do not require this degree of post processing. Just my own observation.
What can I say. I love color, and I don't feel strictly constrained by reality. :)

Nice area. The colors seem a tad....odd.

Thanks for commenting.
I'm a bit odd, so it works for me.

Nice shot...really.
I appreciate the positive feedback, really! :)
Beautiful shot, but I am sure that your photo does not do justice to the whole canyon.

Well, it would be hard to capture the whole 10 mile canyon on one photo.
Thanks for commenting.
:)
Famtastic image---Thanks!
I love the colors and shapes in this photo. I would like the image itself better with the sky completely cropped out as it really doesn't add to the subject.

We later flew down the Canyon in a chartered helicopter, courtesy of our condo rental company. Grand view!

After our one week cruise to the Hawaiian Islands we chose Kauai as the one to spend an extra week - What a great choice! Can't imagine a more beautiful place!

Thanks! It should be one of the "Wonders of the Pacific".
Who would have thought there would have been a giant, arid canyon on Kauai, "The Garden Isle"?

I took some criticism from some other commenters about odd or over-saturated colors. That's find, I like it.
Not too sure about eliminating the sky. Maybe it would work, but I think the sky gives it context, and some textural contrast and relief.

Kauai is less crowded than Hilo, which is now clogged with cars and traffic: paradise ruined.
We once spent a week on the west coast of Kauai in cabin on stilts. Great view. Wife spent most of her time with binoculars looking for whale waterspouts way out in the Kaulakahi Channel.
She liked it when one would slap its fins on the surface, apparently to get rid of some barnacles.
We also once spent a week in a cliff-side condo on the north shore of Kauai on another trip. Got a free helo ride over the island.
