Thanks, Bill. I did not mention that the site is open/free to the public. There is a big pot for donations and a gift shop. I saw Jim talking with someone else out front but did not stay long enough to have a conversation with him.

Me, too. You pose an interesting question(...which I did not think about before I climbed the structure.) I think it has been subjected to some pretty wild natural forces over many years.

Very good photo's the the various parts of the castle Dave. Fun place to visit, I live within a hour and have been going here a few times a year for the past 10 years. Have meet Jim Bishop many times. He has been slowed down by cancer and was in treatment the last time I saw him this past summer.

Nice captures of the structure. I was there about four years ago and it looks as if there have been quite a few panes added to the stained glass window.
