ESPN has announced that sources say that Quarterback Tony Romo will be released by the Dallas Cowboys. Tony has been injury prone for many seasons, and lost his starting position to Dak Prescott, a rookie. I really liked Tony Romo, even though I am not a Cowboys fan. I predict he will retire, and accept a front office job with the Cowboys Organization. He just couldn't avoid injuries.

Tony might have quoted the lyrics of that song, after he was told that he wouldn't be a starter anymore.

I was a Cowboys most of my life....then they hired Romo. I will never understand what they saw in him. He couldn't hit the broadside of a barn if he were surrounded by them. I'm glad to see that Dak has brought heart back to the team.

I think he's not done just yet and will start for another team.

I agree, though I don't know if he will start. I don't think he's ready he's ready to give up that dream yet.
I'm not a big Cowboys fan but I do wish him well.
Side note: first time I watched Dak Prescott play I thought, that's it for Romo with the Cowboys.

Heard a rumor he's going to Denver.

Hate to see him go; he was the best thing for the other team. My son and I would watch week after week cheering him on to do his blomo that gave the game away to the other team. It was great while he was there and kept them out of the ply offs for some years. The danger is that he may get picked up by one of my favorite teams where he will continue to blomo the game away to the opposite team.

Yes. His NFL playoffs record was indeed awful. And when he came back the next year doing good, he would always get injured. Again. Injuries cost him his job.

Local TV stations in the DFW area are reporting that he wants to play and Denver and Houston are being mentioned as possible teams. Time will tell. I hope he retires before he is injured again. He has given a lot to the local charities and I wish him the best.

If true about going to Denver, this would be the second released Dallas Cowboys Quarterback going to the Broncos. Craig Morton was the first. He played in the Superbowl against his old teammates, Dallas, and lost to Roger Staubach, 27-10. Another released Quarterback named Peyton Manning went to Denver, winning one out of two Superbowls for them.

Just drove into work listening to the Fan on the radio. It has been the main talk of the last week or so that Denver will make a big push to have Tony as their next quarterback. From what I am hearing, he won't go somewhere that has no chance at competing at a high level for a Super Bowl. If he goes to a different team, they will have to have a very good O-line and I heard he doesn't want to learn a new offense, but have the team adopt his style etc. Will be interesting to see what he actually does. Cheers.

Yes, I am anxiously awaiting, what is up next for Tony Romo. He must toughen up though, wherever he goes. More physical conditioning is required for him, especially at his age now.
