Here are a couple more stray pet we have had. Jack and Jill are still with us.
Fred was rescued when we found him with a bag stuck over his head. My grand-sons brought him to the house and fixed him a bed. When I came into the garage later they had him in his bed and was reading the Bible to him. He died about 6 months later.
Alex was adopted from the animal shelter. He could not hear so I taught him sign language. We had to return him a year and half later because our new grand-daughter could not be around him.
Jack and Jill were rescued when they were puppies. We have had them 10 years now.

Welcome to Day 167:) Today it's all about Pet Portraits .. now I realize not everybody has a pet ..but I'd be willing to bet your friends and family do or your neighbor .. or the people at the local park. Just do the best you can .. and by the way we will count the birds that come to eat in your back yard. For my part I decided to attempt to get the heathens to pose .... Not going to happen lol .. ever !!
So I got them in action the best I could. I had to take about 125 photos to only manage to get 1 decent one of each of them. So here are a few examples to get us started. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

I'm sorry to say that Josie has died in the last few hours. See pg 1. She had feline lukemia that was passed down from one of her parents. We did not know. She was an outside cat and we couldn't find her. By the time we found her she was almost dead. The doctor said there was nothing that could have been done for her so he had to be put her to sleep. Now I have the painful task of telling my grand-sons age 10 and 12. Here are a few parting pictures I made of her and the boys Christmas 2011.

Hope to get some shots at a neighbor's horse farm today. Meanwhile…First one is a window shot, couldn't get reflections out, but it is rather interesting. Pooch was in a window of a store watching all the people go by. Second one was taken in Mexico and the Señora was thrilled to have her picture taken

how beautiful of the lady and her baby pg 3

p24 She was excited to be asked. Maybe she was laughing at my Spanish because I asked her in Spanish.

oh Annie..I am so sorry to hear that...you just never know what you get with a stray...
I brought one in once and after about 6 weeks and thousands of dollars the poor thing just seized up and had to be put down...I think some people let these animals loose so they dont have to provide care.

so lucky for your Josie that she found you....and had some loven and cuddling and happiness in her life.

I once did a slide show on dogs for a camera club. I could fill up the entire Day 167 Challenge with dog photos, but I won't do that, so you can relax. We are Lab people. God created Labs because of children and elders. They have an instinct and manor that immediately notices both and will go from an aggressive hunter to a mild mannered lap dog.
