Yep, Jerry, sure wouldn't want you to get cold.

Our high is only supposed to be 61 F today, the native Californians are dressing like Nanook going after seal.

When I came back to San Diego in 1979, having lived for 3 years in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii ....... it was 63 degrees. I had on my winter coat and was shivering. I guess there really is such a thing as acclimatization. In Michigan, growing up, that was short sleeves and no jacket weahter.

I used to tell my students that if they went to Disneyland during winter break they could tell the Californians from the tourists. Californians were dressed like eskimo hunters and the tourists from Minnesota and Germany were in shorts, T-shirts and sandals and complaining about how warm it was.

Thank you S-C. I have always loved being near the water, even when it's this cold outside. It was nice to get back to the warm car though.

The freezing wind and the wave together will do that, one year Cleveland's West Light was totally covered in ice.

Thanks Karin. I find ice-covered lighthouses to be fascinating subjects.

You really captured the sea, the waves crashing, the cold and of course the sea gulls flying around. Remind me of some of the light houses on the Oregon coast I visited as a kid. This image really speaks to my soul.

Bob, that's a great shot. The tint and texture are great. Someone is going to want to harangue you for putting it dead center, but I like it. That's where it belongs in this instance, I think. It certainly has command of those waves!
