I'm looking for some recommendations for a bridge camera with a superzoom for birding. My Dad has a Canon 7DII with a Tamron 150-600 and he is having issues with the weight. One thing he is looking for is EASY control for aperture, shutter speed & ISO. He currently has the Canon SX60 and has problems changing those settings quickly while birding like he can with his 7DII. Probably an impossible request but wanted to ask.
Sony RX10 III bridge 24-600 look online for the close ups at 600.
Most talked about are the Sony SX60 and Nikon P900

The Sony RX10iii, or the Panasonic FZ2500. These two cameras are the two most expensive, ranging from $1200-$1500. And are of excellent quality. However, there are other good ones too. Costing less. Get one with a viewfinder.

Thanks everyone. Looking in to the dials and how to change ISO and shutter speed. I see it has a ring to change the f/stop which is awesome.

Nikon P900. Fantastic zoom, but you must use a tripod at 2,000mm.
I am in the south of Thailand this moment. I use the Nikon P900 to get photos of animals. And in my opinion it works great.
It's a pity that I can't upload one ore two photos to show you photos af birds and reptilies, I took a few minutes ago....
Sorry, it works...
Nikon P900
I used nearly 2000 mm, freehanded
The Nikon P900 is amazing value for money. Fantastic for wildlife and moon shots. 🙂

The Panasonic Lumix FZ 1000/2500 cameras are great as carry-about cameras. They have fixed 24-400 or 24-480 lenses depending on the model. I bought one for travel because it is exceptionally light weight while producing great photos. Both cameras have a 1" sensor.
