Jennifer Wu gave a Canon sponsored lecture in Denver last year that I had the pleasure of attending. Pinkston is impressive but he obviously goes to what I consider great technical lengths to get some of his shots. Listening to Jennifer go over her technique (and after reading her almost mandatory book), I'll stick with her techniques. Somehow, they seem more achievable for the enthusiastic rookie that I am.

While I do admit he has some fantastic images - BUT - the use of the same background/sky over and over with different major subjects got old real quick. I enjoy doing this to images that really require background change but not to this extent.
Great images but poor presentation.
