Two battle reenactments sponsored by the Huntington Beach Historical Society. Very well organized and attended. Increased attendance anticipated next year. The dedicated reenactors do it very well. For the reenactors, this is not an inexpensive hobby. Kind of like photography. Fortunately, there were no fatalities nor injuries. Great photo op.

Hi Woody:
It is interesting that you should make that observation. In talking with one of the reenactors, he told me that many of the fellows travel great distances to attend these events. In any case, we only provided the stage. The actors are the meat on the bones. (So to speak). One of the "British Officers" that I spoke with had a great deal of knowledge of the life, times and history of the period. Apparently, once a person makes a commitment to be a reenactor, he/she also commits to take the time to study in order to be able to better play the part. Thanks for looking.
Well done LEGALDR, enjoyed viewing. I have shot some civil war reenactments in my area and you are correct. This is not a cheap hobby for the reenactors.
Don
Great shots, LEGALDR! In Reenactment pictures you don't often see close ups like these, and I really like yours!
Absolutely great photos. Will have to plan to be in Huntington Beach next year. Mahalo for sharing.
