If you really want to put a name in your photographs can you try and make it very subtle, some names can dominate the image.

If you open the picture you want to put your name on in Photos. Click on Extensions. Click on Markup. From there you can add your name and/or many other things.

Works great, do you know how to then apply to every image ?

TIA

Fastone Resize will do it easily, not sure if it works on macs though.

Once you have post processed your photo, save it to your desktop and open the file in Preview. Select Markup and choose your font and color. Then back to the main menu in Preview and go to tools, scroll down to Annotate then to Text. You can play with this and add a signature as well.

Search for watermark. (A signature is just a watermark that is not transparent)....

Or semi transparent for more subtlety.

Yes, there are ways to do that. Putting your name on the photo itself is rather distracting. I simply put a small border around the image and print my name, etc. in the border.

In Photoshop you can use the text box to add your name. if you want the copyright symbol hold down the ALT key then the numbers 0-1-6-9 (©xxx)

I presently use Lr CC for this task. Works well. Considering having a signature mad for me by photologo. Best of luck.

If you use LightRoom, the process is very simple. You can create a watermark in the export dialogue or the print dialogue. Very straightforward. Plus LR is a very good editing program, and with the Adobe CC subscription you also get PhotoShop. You can start out with a 30-day free trial to see how you like it before subscribing.

There are any number of ways to do this, but, just a word of advice, or, at least my opinion. If you really think you need to put your name on your photos, make it really tiny. Maybe somewhat transparent. I see some people put this huge moniker on their photos that just draws your eyes to it. To me, it's like saying, "Don't look at my photo, it's crap. Look at my name. Isn't it wonderful".
