There's enough of that elsewhere.

Did anyone watch the post-meeting photo OP of the POTUS and POTUS elect who noticed the camera noise? OMG that was distracting! Looks like it may have even distracted both men. I'm sure a lot was mic placement, but the station I watched (MSNBC) was really loud. (I used to be a newspaper photog, and am familiar with the situation though not at this level)

My Nikon D810 is really quiet compared to the 800 but if you get a room full of them, I'm sure it could be deafening. With the frame rate I heard, I know they weren't using one of those anyway. Probably mostly Canon cannons.
Should they limit it to only Olympus or Panasonic cameras?
How quiet is your camera?

LOL. I mentioned that to my wife as we were watching and I said, don't those photogs know how to turn on quiet shutter. I have a Nikon 7100 and doesn't make that noise. My Sony A6000 is very quiet.
It was distracting, especially with so many of them 8 fps.

I have a Pany GX7 that has the silent feature and it's absolutely silent, can't hear a thing but the regular shutter is pretty loud - my E-M5 is a lot quieter.
