Jeez. And here I thought I was something special for upgrading to full-frame. That article reminds me of how poor I am :(
You can get a medium format (120) film camera for less than you'd pay for a ff digital.

Hasselblad H6D-100c Medium Format DSLR Camera available for just $32,995 at b&h... body only, of course. On the other hand, a Pentax 645Z isn't much more than a Nikon D5!
Boost Demand Plan... you all buy, the price drops, more buy, the price drops more and finally someone says "this is too heavy" and sells and finally I can buy... maybe!
I regularly, and will be doing more, medium and large format photography. Landscapes are only one style, if one could call it that. It's back to more film as a New Year resolution.

Thanks for sharing this link, very interesting : )
While digital has supplanted 35mm film, it hasn't quite caught up to medium and large format film yet. A while back I read that Kodachrome 25 film was equivalent to about 20 mp in resolution in a 35mm camera. I haven't seen any comparisons for Ektachrome or Fujichrome commonly used in medium format film cameras, but my best estimate for 6x6 cm cameras, based on the Kodachrome 25 example, gives me a number of around 70mp. This means that digital has a ways to go to better medium format film. So if you want high resolution, dust off your old medium and large format film equipment.
It's that stuff we old timers used to put in our cameras back in the days before digital. It's still out there, and you ought to try it. You would be surprised at how good it can be, especially in medium and large format.
