Is the photo post processed? Or is this the result of your shot? Nice sharp picture!

Lots of mixed reviews on that lens but I've always liked mine (it was the only lens I took to Africa and it worked out well). Nice shot! Good choice of lens in my opinion.

Nice back ground, soft. My experience with VR
EDIF DX lens by Nikon, really helps sharpness
for older shakey hands. Even though I use a mono pod and ball head. These new series lens are better than older series. Even though I do use my old 70 - 300 EDIF DX 72 mm irus. The latest one I bought was a 18- 200 VR with a larger irus. Draw back was, the HD filter is very expensive.
I was wondering how a gradated filter would work. But, the larger mount costs just for the holder is about $220.+tx and filters start @ $60.+ for each one. The gear is just more to carry an mount each time. No bag holds it complete, unless I use my large kit bag. Very heavy at end of the days shoot.

Thank you all for looking . It was shot with a D7200 and a nikon 70-300 AF-S . I shot in RAW and converted with a little PP with capture NX-D .
It was hand held with VR on , ISO 400 , F7.1 at 1/160 in aperture priority .

I've had that lens for quite a few years and have never thought of taking it out of my go bag. Mine might be a little soft fully extended so I always back off when I hit fully extend. Your shot is great.
