I've always liked the Fuji cameras and was very disappointed when they ended their compatibility with the Nikon lenses. I thought the Fuji always did better on color than Nikon. The Fuji S5 was the last of the series. Your pictures of the fox are outstanding.

First pics I've seen with that combination- great results. The fur is very tactile-makes me want to touch :)
Have you tried this combo with action shots- say BIF?
Did you get the battery grip?
Have you tried any other lenses?

I just got the camera and lens and haven't gotten the chance for BIF or any other kinds of action. I did get the grip and it comes in handy when you shoot in the "boost" mode as this burns batteries faster. I have tried the 56mm lens for portraits, the 16 mm for wide angle and the 18-135mm as a general walk around lens and I like them all. After using each lens for the first time I was shocked at their sharpness. I certainly am pleased with my decision to go fugitive.

Excellent shots, excellent detail! I love foxes and the wonderful colors of their fur. Your compositions are spot on!
