I have been looking at purchasing a couple of extra 64 gig cards and would like to know what is the SD card of choice most UHH members prefer, have looked at many reviews and became even more confused on what to by so hopefully I can get an answer from UHH members thanks.
I've used SanDisk from Digital day one and never had a failure. 16 gigs is the biggest I use and 8 is what most of my gear has in it. I took some advice about not having all your eggs in one basket. Plus I just don't shoot that many shots in a day and always have a computer and hard drive with me on travels. Just some ideas. S

I use them too and have never had a failure either.

. Likewise, I never use cards bigger than 8GB.
I have gone to LEXAR and I use 32 and 64 GB cards because the smaller cards fill up to fast
Dual slot camera ensures against 1 slot failing and losing your pics. If you are getting paid and there is no do-over (ie wedding) its a must. Otherwise, the mem size is whatever works. Too small and you either are running out or have to do a swap (swapping in the rain or snow is dicey at best). Larger sizes MAY fail more but i have not seen any stats. I have 5 - 32gb cards (Lexar and Sandisk) for 2 yrs and none have failed...yet). Have had the smartphone-sized 16g cards fail x2 in the past 4 yrs however).
I use Sandisk, I have eight of them.
SanDisk here. Thought I had a failure but reformat took care of whatever problem there was.
I format after every download, seemed like a good idea.
Thanks, from what I have been reading that seems to be a very good SD card the following is the one I was thinking of either 32 or 64, I am leaning towards the 32 as I take a lot of pictures when on vacation but I also have 2 64gigs already.
Lexar Professional 633x 64GB SDXC UHS-I Card w/Image Rescue 5 Software
I referenced the 1000,not the 633.

I typically use the fastest Lexar CF and Sandisk SD cards available with nothing larger than 32GB max. Never had a failure yet. You can also Google SD card speed tests for your particular body to get some actual testing data.
Since 2005, I've used Transcend, Lexar and Sandisk without issue(SD & CF). I switch them from camera to camera(Canon 5D MIII, 7DMII, SX60) frequently with no formatting. I do format to erase all images, after transferring the desired images for storage to my dedicated internal & externals drives. I have 8, 16 & 32 and even have a few older 4 GB cards.
