First off, like to thank everyone for their input on previous topics. You all helped me greatly in deciding the direction I will be taking.
Now I would like to know if anyone out there has had experience purchasing from Best Buy. Now I know it is important to support local shops, however Best Buy is offering a D750 kit with a AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED VR lens, plus other goodies, for $2399.99. While I could undoubtedly find the same deal elsewhere, I have more then a handful of gift cards that would cover nearly have the cost. So fellow UHH people what do you think?

I have not bought a camera or lens from Bestbuy, but some other stuff and have no complaints about it.

I should have added that this would be the beginning of my foray into the fx format and could use some commentary on the camera lens combination as a starter, thanks much.
if you know what you want and they have it, fine. I avoid all mail-in rebates.

I have found that Best Buy is upgrading their stock. A lot of equipment on their website is not sold by Best Buy.
What in the HECK does that have to do with the subject being discussed?
If you know what you want Best Buy is a good place to go. Have had no problem when issues with products happened. Finding knowledgeable salespeople can be a Challenge.
I purchased a Canon 6D from BB, INDY had trouble in Hilton Head 6 months later, walked out with a new camera, while on Vacation,
To me that was service no camera store would ever offer, and they priced matched.
Go ahead and use those gift cards. Especially if they will cover nearly half of your purchase. I have bought two cameras in past years from Best Buy. No problems.
I have bought a lot of stuff @ Best Buy never had a problem, and they price match. So I really don't see a down side !

Good camera, good lens - and those gift cards! Go for it.
I bought my Sony a7II kit and couple more lens from Best Buy and had no problem and I have returned things to Best Buy and got a full refund no problem just be aware of the 15 day return policy and have the original receipt they have best price I could find and I check several places, you should be ok plus you have half in gift cards go for it.
Why not go to B&H on line or at the store. NEVER a problem!
In my experience, Best Buy is completely safe.
Best Buy has two weeks return policy and you can ask them to match the price of B&H exact $2399 without sales tax too. It's safe bed on my experience.
