Two female mergansers, Hooded and Common. Saw the male Common but haven't seen a male Hooded yet. Should be around, it is breeding season for both.

Thank you. You are correct. The male can raise and lower the crest, which I was unaware of, and I can see that the female is much different in appearance once I looked at Sibley. I have probably not noticed them and will look more closely. Hopefully I will find a pair. Thanks.
