DxO is making OpticsPro 9 available for free. It's not the latest version, of course, but it will cost you nothing. Just give them your email address.

Hey, Jerry, by posting this does that mean you use and endorse it? How do you like it?

I watched the demo video and it looks impressive.

I have it, although I cannot endorse it because I haven't used it enough. I spend so my time reading and typing on UHH that I seldom get a chance to do anything else.

Here's a review of DxO 11, the one you have to buy.

Free is good. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work. I downloaded and installed it then restarted my computer. I click on "Transfer to dxo Optics Pro 9" in Lightroom- File-Plugin extras, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? It never asked for the personal activation code...

No idea. I haven't tried to use it yet.

The email I received from DxO for the download had an activation code included.

Yes, Ed, I have the code. Where dI'd you enter it? It installed without asking for the code. I can click on the icon, but nothing happens

For me the program installed without the code but when it opens for the first time a window opens titled "Activation of DxO Optics Pro 9" and has two options to select from, "I want to try" or "I want to activate". Click on the "I want to activate" and enter the activation code from the email in the five boxes then click the Acitivate box. That's how it worked for me anyway.
BTW the program automatically opened after it finished installing.
Good luck.
