If we are going to exempt churches from paying taxes then we should also exempt them from receiving the benefits of those taxes.
If you pay no taxes you should not receive sanitation services
If you pay no taxes, the road in front of your church should be paid for by you.
If you pay no taxes, police, fire and EMS should not be required to respond to your building.
If you pay no taxes, you should be forced to pay your share of any infrastructure that is commonly paid for by taxpayers.
Further, the home of your pastor should not be tax exempt, nor should his salary or benefits.
If you don't believe in any of the above, please join my church and send me money. God is all knowing and all powerful but he can't figure out how to make a dime so I need you to send me your money.
Thanks.
If we are going to exempt churches from paying tax... (show quote)

Yes, because churches provide no valuable social services at all.

Yea, according to the Supreme Court, the first amendment does prohibit taxing churches.

Nor has the court said that the sun rises in the east, water is wet, etc. Some things the court knows in the same way you do

*******

The Scotus hasn't prohibited taxing churches. It said it is legal to exempt them. This issue they have ruled on, but they have not taken up the issue of the sun rising and setting maybe because it isn't in the constitution.

Gee, I don't know. Maybe the part about "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..." You know, the whole freedom of religion thing.

Wow. Are you really this stupid? How in the hell did you logically equate ending the special tax breaks for religious groups as "Respecting an establishment of religion"? Most people would see it as the opposite - that the establishment of special tax breaks for religious groups is what is 'respecting an establishment of religion.

Your "freedom of religion" equated to special tax breaks point is even more baffling. I'm quite frequently mystified by your "logic" whenever you talk about the Constitution.

LOL! Are you joking? You actually think we might be assuming an attorney-client relationship with you??? You're a funny man.

You mean to tell me that you have in the past served as an attorney? Just wow. I guess all types have gone to law school. However, I couldn't imagine trusting you to be an attorney given your consistently screwy interpretations of the law.

Generally speaking, the IRS considers a number of factors, most commonly whether the organization has a a distinct legal existence and religious history, a recognized creed and form of worship, established places of worship, a regular congregation and regular religious services, and an organization of ordained ministers.
There may be others, but these are the biggest ones the IRS looks for.

I'm not surprised. Your ignorance is not only invincible, it is apparently limitless.

That's quite alright. Aside from the fact that I avoided insane clients and imbeciles, you probably could not have afforded me.

Strange...

You begged the admin to un-ban you from UHH by convincing him that you only wanted to utilize the photography part of the forum and were done trolling...

Immediately after you were allowed back on, you immediately ran back to the Attic and started your vile moronic trolling routine again...

1,800 posts since your re-infection of the forum December 11, and ALL have been stupid vulgar trolling comments in the Attic, and only 7 posts in the photography section of UHH.

Like the typical immoral right winger you are, you couldn't care less about the fact that he was banned for violating the rules of the forum that he agreed to when he signed up.

I guess to you right wing hypocrites, breaking rules and violating laws aren't the problem. It's only getting caught that you have a problem with.

Phil, has anyone ever told you you are a pathetic man-child with severely stunted morality and maturity?

Oh, and you are also a disgusting hypocrite since you continue to self-identify as a "Christian."

"Another good Christian"

Only you, but from you I consider it the highest form of complement. Thank You.
