The focus seems to be better on #2, Donald! As far as cluttered verses uncluttered it's all in what you would like your image to project!

The color of the Grey Squirrel is MUCH better in your photo - the google photo does not reproduce the right color of the grey squirrel--i have seen jillions of grey squirrels in my life, that's why I know your photo IS better. That is all I have to say!

Donald, I like them both but number 2 is sharper and for that reason I would say it is better. Now which is a better photo without counting pixels? I would say that is a toss up. I like both the same for composition.

That's easy: Number two, where you have isolated the subject from the background quite nicely.

I'd like to say yours since it is yours and not Google, I also like that contextual setting, but the squirrel being out of focus means #2 is better...

#2. The subject stands out. In #1, the subject is lost in the clutter.

I like the second one, Donald, 'cause it doesn't have a cluttered background.
