Hi
Does anyone have any recommendations for a Camera Holster/bag you carry of your shoulders that has enough space to take a Nikon D7100 with its Battery Grip connected. Most of the types of bags I've seen do not allow extra space for the additional battery grip and I would rather not keep taking it off so it can go in a bag and fitting it back on again when it comes out.
Thanks

Check out Think Tanks line of bags, they have many that do that!
I've used a Lowepro Toploader Pro 70 with my D7200 but have to admit I have to take the battery grip off otherwise it is too big to fit into the bag. I looked at a lot of bags at the local camera store near me (Unique Photo in NJ who carries excellent products) but nothing I looked at would let me keep the grip attached to the camera.
You may want to look at a slingbag (LowePro Passport Sling 3 might work) instead but would suggest you bring your camera to the store and see if it works while keeping your D7100 safe and secure.
Good luck!

Think Tank DIGITAL HOLSTER™ 40 V2.0. That's what I use for my Canon 7D Mark II with an attached battery grip. Not cheap at $85 dollars, but is very well made and is one of the few small lightweight cases available that will fill your requirements. It has a large square flat zippered top that's easy to open and the opening is perfect for quick packing or removal of your camera. It will carry your camera with a mounted 24-70 lens and a mounted battery grip. The pop down bottom of the case has a zipper to extend it for use with longer lenses. If you regularly use long lenses, consider the Think Tank DIGITAL HOLSTER™ 50 V2.0 at $90, which will hold your camera and a mounted grip with a mounted 70-200 lens. It also has the pop down feature for even longer lenses.
I agree the peak design sling and then add the capture clip to that and you have a perfect combination. I have even added the shell to the line up for inclement weather this year. It is worth your time to at least check out their products.

I've recently been looking at backpacks because the one I have is too small for my new camera! Take a look at Lowepro's Pro series. They are around $150 to $250, not cheap, but have a lot of capacity. The main thing is to look at the photos of how the gear is configured in the bag. That will make it easier to visualize how your camera and battery grip would fit. You could also find less expensive bags, ones that say they will hold 1-2 DSLRs or 2 DSLRs should work. The descriptions of the bags are helpful as well. B&H's website is great for this because they include lots of information on the gear they sell.
I second both the Digital Holster bag and the idea of a sling.
I have a trio of Digital Holster bags. Two are the smaller size---each can hold a crop-body Canon with a battery grip and a short lens--great for transporting cameras as it gives them a little extra protection and the cameras can be pulled out and are ready to go immediately. I also use the longest one---it can hold a Canon crop body with the 70-200 and lens hood, if it is extended all the way, or a crop body and a 150-600 with the hood reversed.
While these are okay for walk-around shooting, they are not super-convenient---it takes some care to slide them in and out of the holsters--so while I am walking around I keep the camera on a sling, which I find to be most comfortable and convenient. It is as convenient as having the camera around your neck, but instead the weight is on one shoulder and the camera hangs by your hip, lens down, ready to raise and fire.
Have a look at Think Tank holster bags in whatever size you need. I love mine.
That version won't work with an attached grip The OP would need the Think Tank DIGITAL HOLSTER™ 40 V2.0, or the DIGITAL HOLSTER™ 50 V2.0, both of which will hold a DSLR with the battery grip mounted.

I personally use an old used courier bag I found at a garage sale. It works great and has four lengthwise compartments. It will even hold my full frame with a 70-200mm f/2.8 attached and a battery grip attached. It also holds many accessories in other compartments.
