My daughter wanted a magazine for her AR-15 for Christmas.

Well, what can I say? Lol.
Warn any groups she dislikes. She may get someone else to buy her Magazine and rounds for it.
Large quantities of ammunition for one weapon caliber is getting to be a problem. I am trading my AR15 for a nice double barrel break action 12 Quage shotgun (some might think per Biden). Nope.
A company called Chiappa makes an 8 adaptor set of 10 different calibers that fit in break action shotguns, offering the use of 10 calibers of ammunition. Cost is around $300 plus for the set, and can use a number of the popular handgun calibers, and are rifled for those.
A bowlful of assorted ammunition and off to the target range. Saw a video of five of each of the ten rounds of ammo including 12 and .410 ga, all rendering total groups that fit into a 1 by 2 foot square of cardboard. mostly nice groups with a few flyers.
A real mind messer.... Hey! How many guns does that guy have????

Seriously, I refrained from doing what I really wanted to do since she also wanted a better scope also. She only does target shooting. I am afraid that if I bought anything for her, it would not be the one she wanted.

Funny that you mention the ammo thing. People in my area are complaining that they can not get their caliber at times. I asked her about that since she owns several different types of weapons. She says that she never has a problem. She usually buys at Cabela's.
Does she buy her own ammo?
That double drum could get very expensive very fast lol

It's getting quite difficult now. Military Ammo is being soaked up by gummint buyers. Those making caliber choices are in trouble just deciding on guns. 22 caliber is near impossible to find. 22WMR (magnum) got hard to find. Near impossible at the time. It was barely used just a few years ago. 17 caliber is proliferating, but in four to five different brass configurations and FPS ratings. It's easy to make a gun choice for which a serious hunt for ammo supplies will be your next biggest challenge.
Believe me when I say the 10 caliber adaptors loaded in the chamber of one common CHEAP shotgun looks quite attractive.
Now, how does a thief or trouble maker make those decisions.
Her face says it all! Great picture!
Ever consider reloading military cases? I reload 223/5.56, 308, 30-06, 9mm and 45 ACP cases and have yet had a shortage of shootable ammo. I do buy all my bullets, primers, and powder in large lots also.
