I can't believe that our national nightmare is just within mere days now of being over.

I am counting on the democrats taking control of the senate in two years after these people realize what a horrible mistake they made. That will help put the brakes on some of Trumps foolishment.

Actually, I am hoping that the republicans in control of congress will reject some of it as they realize what his ever-changing polices will do to the party and the country.

Gee, I wonder if you repeal Obamacare, attack Social Security, destroy Medicare...how many votes might that cost you?

Trump can profoundly damage the nation in 100 days, nearly destroy it in two years.

If Republicans repeal Obamacare, damage Social Security and repeal Medicare, where does that leave the nation?

What does this do to people working two or more jobs already?

What hope is there for some successful life after these are gone?

Of course it means a lot of money for people who already have more cash than they can ever hope to spend, but it also means a caste system for the Nation--Republican Heaven! Ninety percent of the population living on tenterhooks, without hope, and no chance to improve themselves. All to the advantage of the rich, isn't it?

Is this really what we want as a nation? A sort of Dickens slavery, fueled by gin and hopelessness? But Roses for the Rich?

We had our choice and we blew it, and we deserve whatever happens.

But it won't be fun to be a nation in shame and poverty, buying splendor for the Rich.

First of all -- please learn to spell

Secondly, Obama is a fooking commie, and without a doubt, he is the most despised man in America -- backed up by this list

Let's see, The Most Admired Man of 2016 is the most despised man in America, right? Now these can't both be true, can they? Perhaps someone should rethink this and decide whether Obama is Respected or Despised. Seems the only sensible thing to do, doncha' think?

BTW, it reduces a lot of bile to call Obama a commie, but words have meaning, and communication insists we agree what we mean to say with the words educated people use and understand. It isn't easy for some of us, but it helps up make our point.

"Communist" is a serious word, and it means something understandable, something real--positive or negative--according to your understanding of the world. Communication is not something done in private for personal expression; for that we use something like masturbation. Communication involves two or more people, interacting for the benefit of one or both of them, generally where some sort of thought occurs. Difficult to understand as it is, this often takes place, sometimes more than once a day, sometimes more than two people, sometimes for the betterment of one or the other or even for several of them.

If you want to punish Obama simply for being Obama, that is your right. But you gain the respect of others when you do it in intelligible words, representing a clear idea, with actual facts as reason for your opinon.

That would do the trick!

But, as Republican Congress members found out early in Obama's first term, don't do it to his face, 'cause then he'll shut your ass down and kick it, too.

So, be careful.

All good points. However, Screeching Hyperbole is the only language many of these snorting right wing howler monkeys understand. Don't hold your breath waiting for him to act more respectable as per your advice.

Careful? And why would I be careful?

The man and his cohorts have set this country back 50 years in all aspects. And to quote you ........ they just had their asses shut down.

And let me twist the knife a bit. We just won the grand prize. Not only is Trump going to install a constitutional conservative in short order, but he'll for sure have at least two more justices to put on SCOTUS. We own the court now for several decades to come. You liberal pukes are up the proverbial river without a paddle. heh

If, and I say IF Obama has set this country back 50 years, you won't mind hitting we with a few specific examples, will you? That's why you have to be careful; after you say it, you have to back it up.

You're allowed to twist the knife, but only a bit. You won. Whether you won the "grand prize" depends upon what happens during his term. You get the Supreme Court, granted. You probably own it for some decades. Whether we are up your creek, or you are up your creek, or the Nation is up your creek depends upon whether Trump can Function.

It is a tall order, and Trump is liable to fail spectacularly, to the detriment of All. His success is not a forgone conclusion, and I have a nagging suspicion we might see that fail.

He is Putin's Poodle, in deep hock to both Russia and China, in violation of the Constitution on Inauguration Day, with profound conflicts of interest, no experience in government, law, or diplomacy, and with less intelligende than he thinks; I don't see anything good coming from this.

Brag while you can, pout when you must, but the nation is in deep danger.

Why didn't/doesn't it work in Kansas when it worked in these other states?

Here ya go..... It does seem that the republican model of smaller government and lower taxes does work in several other states,

"In employment growth (from the payroll survey), Florida, California, Georgia, Texas, and North Carolina beat the national average (in that order). Falling below the national average were Michigan, New York, Ohio, Illinois, and Pennsylvania (with PA have the lowest job-growth rate during the period). In GDP growth, here are the same ten states ranked highest to lowest: Texas, Florida, California, North Carolina, Georgia, National Average, New York, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio."

The one nice thing about the Republicans having both houses and the whitehouse is, when the shit hits the fan, they will have no one to blame but themselves.
