Hummingbirds are amazing creatures. I do a lot of photographing while I hike in the local mountains and I have actually been attacked by hummingbirds 12 times. If you get too close to a nest or if you get too close to there food source they can get very aggressive. They will go for the eyes and you have to duck a lot. It sounds funny but these birds dont give up.

Last year we had one stab one in the eye on the feeder. He kept stabbing until it was poked down in the foot stands.

I am amazed and amuzed by h-birds. I have a tattoo of one, they are such a work of God. You must have the best seat in the house to get such good shots, I've tried for years but I am always late for the shot. Good job, carry on. :thumbup:

I've been lucky. Last year they built a nest right outside our sliding glass door in the bedroom. Very easy to get pictures. This year it's a little harder. Outside our kitchen window and a little higher up. They use the window as a bathroom so I have to clean it all the time.
