A wonderful set Sylvia - Whitby is a great place and you have certainly done it justice. Photos are so well composed and sharp - I continue to be amazed by the shots you get with the 18.55 lens and the canon 650D camera.

It does look very cold. Nonetheless, very nice set. I love England--both the countryside and small villages. However I've only been there in warm weather.

Great shots, I like them all. In the case of the seabird portrait I think selective focus on the bird would have enhanced the shot and by selective focus I mean using the lens at its widest aperture, ideally f2.8 or below.
The reason I am saying this is because the seabird is the center of interest. Notice how the eye goes to the background but comes back to the bird.

The pier looks very inviting, but if it's as cold as it is here, I'm going to pass and just enjoy your tour!!
I love the other shots, Sylvia and the town looks so quaint!!
I'm sure in the summer that delicious looking ice cream cone is a big hit!

It is bitterly cold with strong winds Angela. Pleased you enjoyed the series thank you.I appreciate your comments and thumbsup very much. There are always queues at the shop in the warmer weather.

Always wanted to see Whitby.

HMS Endeavour of Captain James Cook fame was an ex-Whitby collier.

Ant Memorials there?
