I purchased my 750 in July of 2016. The purchase from my local shop was held up due to the earth quake causing facility damage. So mine is a product after the quake. It has functioned perfectly, have about 5,000 snaps and the only problem I have had is the camera's capabilities are still beyond my skills. I would buy it again without hesitation. It is heavy, so getting yourself into shape helps not only your health but how far/long you can carry it with a big lens.

I have had my D750 since Feb. of '15 and love it - great bang for the buck. My S/N was included in the shutter recall (it was promptly returned...with all my custom settings having been wiped out by being reset to factory settings) but I never had the flair problem.

I have to say that after an initial couple of trial runs to see what the big deal was all about, I do not use the tilt monitor 'feature' that you mention...it just never seemed to be worth the trouble of deploying in the types of photography I do (sports, landscape and macro). It is fully functional in live view though should you think it is worthwhile.

I use my D750 for snow sports, MTB races, street photography and the recall wasn't an issue for me. I love the detail it resolves. The articulated screen is a bonus for taking a different angle at events.

For all the warnings about recalls on the web, it seems the majority of D750 users have been unaffected. Sure is reassuring. Thanks, picsman!

Have had the D750 and had to send back for both recalls. Would I buy it again, yes, absolutely without a thought. It is an absolutely great camera. I bought it for the tilt screen for the versitility it gives over the D610. My brother-in-law has the D600 and it is an amazing camera too. Really, it will give you the same quality file the D610 gives you. The advancements that I am aware of in the D750 is the superior focusing, tilt screen and faster frames per second. If it's worth those to move up to it, go for it without a thought.

I've already sold the D610 and have been trying to determine whether I should make do with my D5300DX as my main travel camera (including for some night shooting) or trust that the D750 is worth the investment. I just love the external controls on the D610 and the IQ so much and would prefer to continue with that set-up. Glad to know it's been smooth sailing through the recalls, WWO.

Yes,unequivocally, I would buy a D750 again. Great camera, and yes, there have been recalls, but, like Canon and Sony, Nikon customer service has always taken care of me. Great camera.

Thanks, Bill--glad you took time to share feedback!

I got mine in March and April of 2015. One was sent in for the recall, but not the other. I had gone through a lot of cameras before getting these, and I see no need to buy another DSLR. I'm finally set. No problems at all. I like everything about the D750.

That's a huge endorsement, Jerry--I've seen on other posts that you've tried out a good many DSLR's. Thanks for the input!

I have the D750 since February, it was not part of the recall and never had a issue. I love the camera and use it everyday.
I did have a issue with the kit lens 24-120 f4 had a speck in the inner glass sent it to Nikon and had it back in 8 days
great service.

Glad for the heads up, fazgeo--I'll be looking to purchase 'body only', though, so one less bullet to dodge.

I have the D750 and must say it is absolutely awesome. It has been said that the 750 is probably one of Nikons best to date. I have the D500 on the way and think the two will cover all my needs. Good luck in your quest.

I purchased my D750 last April. It was not affected by any of the recalls and has performed flawlessly-especially with the included 24-120 lens. Nikon just sent me an email. They are giving a free battery grip with purchase of the 750. You won't be disappointed. By the way, I wasn't sure if the articulated screen would be significant, but it has turned out to be a game changer for me and I love using it, specially for photos and videos of my little grandson and flowers.

Ditto, I've gotten spoiled with the articulated monitors on the D5100/D5300's but have also had concerns about accidentally damaging the hinge--I would actually prefer the tilt screen on the D750. Glad you're having good success with your D750, Larry--thanks for the feedback!

The D750 was named Camera of the Year for 2014 by Popular Photography. The Recall, because of a shutter issued, was resolved in a timely manner. The price for a new one has dropped nearly $200, and refurbished even less. This is the time to get one. My friend loves his D750 with a 28-300mm all around lens. I borrowed that lens once for my DX camera. Great lens too.

I've just purchased a D750, and expect it to arrive Thursday. I was originally thinking of buying a used D800E, but in talking with a friend who has the D750, I changed my mind. I don't ever remember reading anything negative about this camera. ...Is it Thursday yet???

I bought a D750, to replace the older D700, because of higher ISO & clean pix above iso8000 for sports. Had to send it back 2x, to get it repaired correctly ( Would shoot bottom 1/3rd , of image blank). Now works ok, but is still way too slow (4-5 fps) for sports action & struggles to focus accurately. I like FX , but bought D500, for 10fps, focusing speed n accuracy ( Had a learning curve with it though ) I do carry the 750 as back up . I gave up too much in the 750, vs the D700 -still a superior body ! I think Nikon, slipped up Wish there was an FX, D500 equivalent ! PS: un asked for, but my "throw it in the front seat" & use now = Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ 1000, with fixed 25-400 lens & a lot of in camera options + scary burst mode ! ( <$800 when U can get them )

I got one of the first D750's. I never noticed the flare, but sent it back under the recall. Nikon was great. I love this camera and recommend it.

I bought my 750 shortly after it was introduced. I never noticed any recall related problems. The camera has performed flawlessly from day one. As much as I loved my 700, it's been collecting dust ever since the 750 arrived.
I do wish the AA filter had been left off, though.
