I use my D750 for snow sports, MTB races, street photography and the recall wasn't an issue for me. I love the detail it resolves. The articulated screen is a bonus for taking a different angle at events.

Have had the D750 and had to send back for both recalls. Would I buy it again, yes, absolutely without a thought. It is an absolutely great camera. I bought it for the tilt screen for the versitility it gives over the D610. My brother-in-law has the D600 and it is an amazing camera too. Really, it will give you the same quality file the D610 gives you. The advancements that I am aware of in the D750 is the superior focusing, tilt screen and faster frames per second. If it's worth those to move up to it, go for it without a thought.

I love using the D610 but really miss having a tilt (or ariculated) monitor like I have on the D5300. I am looking at the D750 primarily for that reason. But the several factory recalls up to March of this year concern me. So, my question here is to those who own the D750: would you buy it again, or has it been too problematic? The second part of the question is this: please share whether your camera was issued before March of this year or after. If the newer issues have been problem free, that would make the decision for me.

P.S. I know some folks will want to recommend other cameras, but I will ask another question regarding my use for the full-frame under a separate post. Because I have accessories and lenses for the Nikons, I want to stay within these two choices. I already have a DX sensor camera, so don't want the D500. Also, my budget is modest.

Your relevant feedback is much appreciated!

Yes,unequivocally, I would buy a D750 again. Great camera, and yes, there have been recalls, but, like Canon and Sony, Nikon customer service has always taken care of me. Great camera.

I got mine in March and April of 2015. One was sent in for the recall, but not the other. I had gone through a lot of cameras before getting these, and I see no need to buy another DSLR. I'm finally set. No problems at all. I like everything about the D750.

I have the D750 since February, it was not part of the recall and never had a issue. I love the camera and use it everyday.
I did have a issue with the kit lens 24-120 f4 had a speck in the inner glass sent it to Nikon and had it back in 8 days
great service.

I have the D750 and must say it is absolutely awesome. It has been said that the 750 is probably one of Nikons best to date. I have the D500 on the way and think the two will cover all my needs. Good luck in your quest.

I purchased my D750 last April. It was not affected by any of the recalls and has performed flawlessly-especially with the included 24-120 lens. Nikon just sent me an email. They are giving a free battery grip with purchase of the 750. You won't be disappointed. By the way, I wasn't sure if the articulated screen would be significant, but it has turned out to be a game changer for me and I love using it, specially for photos and videos of my little grandson and flowers.

I bought the 750 in March of this year, and I haven't had a single issue. It's light for a ff dslr, and it is amazing in low light. I don't have a single complaint. I also saw a deal on the 750 this morning on the Nikon site ... $1,799. That's the lowest price for new that I've seen to date. Good luck with your decision. I say go for it!

I have purchased mine from B&H on pre order before they were officially released. I have sent it in for only one recall, and have had no problems with it.
I would definitely buy it again or something equivalent.

After upgrading, in June, from a Nikon D200, to a D500, I realized I needed a FX camera, and it came to me in the D750. Great camera, and I use it most of the time now. It seems I learn something new about it every time I take it out.

I bought my D-750 in June of '15 because of the low light capabilities and articulating screen. it's a fantastic camera. I photograph children with Santa at my VVA chapter's, "Operation Santa Clause". The live view, tilting screen, is a definite plus with the external shutter release.

You can't go wrong purchasing the D-750.

I have the d610 which I really like and it has been a very good camera. I would not consider the d750 although it a step up from the d610. I would rather leap frog the d750 and go directly to the d810 if weight was not a factor for sensor and dynamic range.

I had a D610 and the shutter died. I had it repaired for $225 which Amex paid for as it was within 2 years. I kept the repaired D610 as a backup. I bought a D750. Great camera love it. Now there are rumors of a D760 early next year. A mini D5 if you will with the D5 sensor and many other D5 features. I might get it if the price is right.

I have two D750's, one purchased new Oct 2015 and a refurb from Cameta with 2000 actuations purchased in Sept 2016 and both have performed very well with heavy usage in New Zealand/Australia and recently in Tuscany. I have seen no problems associated with the recalls and neither required anything other than a firmware update I did myself. I found the tilt screen handy with overhead shots in cathedrals and crowded areas. I like having two because I don't have to change lenses and I always have a backup with me on our trips. Enjoy your new camera.

As you suggest, the screen on the D750 does not work the same as the D5300. It tilts to 90 degrees either up or down - that is, with the camera pointed level at waist height, you can look down at the screen or if held above your head, you can look up at the screen. I have a factory refurb that was originally manufactured before March. No problem with it. The only negative for me is that the shutter is a bit loud, even in quiet mode. This appears to be a characteristic of the body. On the plus side, I can't say enough about its controls and its sensor, particularly its sensor. Very little noise - almost none - at high ISO values, in case you shoot a lot of pics in low available light. For examples shot with this camera at ISO 6400 see http://www.photography.gtmanos.com/project-proofs-previews/#/stu-n-the-gurus-1/

For me, the advantage of full frame over crop sensor, both of which I have, is lens selection. Your question was not about this however, so I won't get into that here. Good luck with your choice, let us know what you decide.
