Great image!!!
Need to get closer and do a head shot J/K

Thanks for looking. Getting closer wasn't an option since he was pretty far out in the water, and I was only using a 300mm. This one has a fair amount of cropping already. I'll play with the shot some to see if I can get a head shot without the image breaking down completely.

I love the shot. You did well getting the photo. My only suggestion would be to have walked over to remove the one distracting leaf just ahead of his left eye.

Nice picture, I live in Bonita Springs, next to Naples, and when I go to the the place he is always there. I might point out he does move a fraction of an inch

Taken at the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary near Naples, Florida, in late November. He's about a fifteen-footer.

Nice shot! We saw a lot of critters when we were at Corkscrew last January but no gators, his size or smaller, but there was a Cottonmouth right by one of the bridges.

I figured he had to move sometime.

Fine shot Jaymatt, nicely framed great color, I especially like the cypress knees in the lower right corner. You picture has everything going for it, well done.

He was a little far away for a closeup. This photo was taken with a 300 mm lens and cropped.
Thanks for looking.

You bet I do! And my wife really agrees. It's cold here, and getting colder, but at least the snow hasn't reached this far south yet. We only have about an inch here right now, with more to come tonight, but we aren't supposed to get pounded with the stuff.

It's that time.... unfortunately!! They say we might get a flake or two, but then turning to rain for tomorrow. Stay warm!!
