Donald, that's a great image of a beautiful little hen cardinal, I think that your work has improved so much over time and don't worry about the critics. I know that your post processing skills are much better than mine! Some really want to help, and if I can use their suggestions to improve I give it a try, but much is beyond my skill level at this time. Of course it seems a few may have other reasons, but try not to allow them to get you down--just think of the many, many nice people that you enjoy corresponding with! Take care!!

Why apologize? There is nothing wrong with the shot, Bob

That would be a nice shot for any camera and what a pretty bird.

Your logo image has more interest with the bird facing the camera. Your posted image has the bird looking away. For some ideas on when to shoot which might help is many try to get the bird looking sideways with the beak pointed a few degrees towards your camera, therefore the beak and eye will both be in sharp focus when you focus on the eye. For some good ideas please browse either "birdphotographers.net", or "naturescapes.net". Both have sections for beginner photographers and you can ask questions of the forum members or the leaders of the forum.. Your equipment is secondary and , as has been mentioned already, the photographer is more important than the equipment. Good luck and do not get caught in the what camera is better sections since you are more important than your camera.
Enjoy the journey in mastering photography regardless of what camera you are using.
Many outstanding and historic images have been made with equipment less advanced than what you are using.

It's not about the camera.

Nothing wrong with your picture although my taste calls for less exposure but that is me.
I would say you are doing very well with your bridge camera.

AS I am very new to cameras and related items. I'll bite. What is a bridge camera and why does that indicate poverty??

Your picture looks pretty good to me I also use a bridge camera. It's mostly in your composition and you seem to be doing just fine.

Great shot. I have a pretty good camera, but your ere for composition proves you don't need a great camera totake great photos.
