Yesterday was cold (25 degrees) and partly cloudy when I took this Bald Eagle photo.
I used 560mm and the distance was about 125-150 feet to the eagle.

Canon 5Dsr - Canon 100-400 II - Canon 1.4x III - 1/320 - f/9 - ISO @ 800.

Why do these guys always look so serious? Can't you raptor photographers ever get them to smile?

Very nice shot and great technique.

If one can turn the eagle's beak upside down, then you would see a smile.

I thank you very much, Djedi, for your good comment.

Hee hee, I could do that for you......

It's amazing how sharp the photo is in spite of using a converter. Well matched.

What a great image, Regis--- makes me want to purchase a canon 5Dsr, a Canon 100-400II, and a Canon 1.4x III and have a go at it, but realize that it is much more to taking images of that quality than just great equipment!

Thank you, Djedi. The 1.4x III converter gives you a photo just as sharp as not using one. So, you
might as well keep it on the lens. Canon has the best computerized converters.
