Jerry, I bought a Logitech K811 keyboard earlier this year and it is great - charges from the computer usb - no more batteries like the apple keyboard.

I never liked that little Apple wireless kbd. The batteries kept going dead. When a couple of the keys stopped working, I got the large, wired keyboard. Much better.

I doubt that. I've had the Apple battery powered wireless keyboard for 6 years and use it every day for several hours each day. The batteries don't "keep going dead" as you say unless you interpret every 5 or 6 months as "keep going dead". It's misleading statements like this that do a dis-service to someone who wants serious input.

I have to look at the kbd when I type, and I've looked up to see a whole line of caps. Annoying. It doesn't take much for my finger to slip over and hit Caps Lock. There is an app to get the kbd to beep when caps or num are activated. Maybe I'll go back to that.

That is what I use, although for the life of me I can't remember where I got it. It gives a different 'beep' when turning on or off, so it is easy to be sure that it turns off without looking. Someone probably recommended it on here, I guess...

When it is charging what does it charge?

When I'm elected emperor, I'm outlawing the Caps Lock key. It's annoyingly easy to hit, and in 30 years I've NEVER (not even just now) used it intentionally!
