The Straights of Mackinac is on my list of favorites places for just hanging out.
The Mackinac (Mackinaw for some) Bridge is an awesome piece of engineering and is a magnet for me. I love the thing but at five miles from end to end and with a see-thru grate road deck @ just under 200' above the water more than a few people are hesitant to drive across, and Bridge Authority drivers will drive your vehicle across for you.

What a wonderfully photogenic structure that you've captured quite beautifully in three very different settings and light. Very enjoyable series!

....THE BRIDGE..... Graduate > Marinette Wi High.... 1955.... next morning on my way to Milwaukee.... to apply with Coast Guard... for "Seaman's" tag.... next morning back to Marinette. James E Ferris... self unloader... dumping load of coal. I was on "deck" before nightfall. . . Steamed out of port @ 0400 hrs. headed to lower Michigan for load of sand... then off to THE '"NEW BRIDGE" site... 11 round trips in 2 weeks.... "open hatch covers.... close em".... not to exciting... Great $$ paid. However.... accidents happen! Once U start mixing sand and cement powder for bridges... there is no stopping.... NOT EVEN WHEN A CEMENT FINISHER SLIPPED.... MIXING WAS SLOWED DOWN... NOT STOPPED!
AFTER 3 CEMENT MONKEYS GOT COVERED WITH "CRETE" .... I X-FERED TO A STRAIGHT DECK COAL BOAT. . .
NOVEMBER 1..... SIGNED UP >> U.S. NAVY... 6 YRS.... THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO SEA DUTY... NOTHING DOING... AFTER THEY FOUND OUT I HELPED INSTALL WMBV-TV IN MARINETTE [JR. YEAR HIGH] WHILE IN HIGH SCHOOL. NAVY ASSIGNED ME TO ADAK, ALASKA..... [4 ISLANDS FROM END OF ALEUTIAN CHAIN]... THEN TO JAPAN FOR ANOTHER INSTALL OF TV STATION....
Nice work on these. As Linda said, one bridge; three aspects.
Very nice. I just crossed the bridge 2 times over the Thanksgiving week. I have shot it many times, film and digital. Very nice views from Straits State Park in Saint Ignace.
Your second shot, viewed in download is really super and looks surreal. Your last shot is right on and hands down my favorite. Outstanding work.

Interesting comment re drivers driving across for you----Really no difference riding in a car except for the noise and vibration---
