I still have a few of them hanging on as well and I think this is the latest in the season I have had them. We should be getting some really hard freezes next week that will take them out. Hate to see them go.

That is what is weird. We have had at least two hard freezes before I shot these. The new blooms were going strong even today.
Thank you Sylvia. This is the only one that turned out with any hint of true colour. I shot a whole bunch of individual blooms that looked good in camera (with & without flash) and they all suck on my monitor. They all appear saturated with some offshoot of red.
Yep---for sure. Last season I spotted a beautiful large Sulphur in our sunroom in December or maybe January! We had brought a hibiscus in to save for the following season, and it must have been attached, although we had fairly closely examined it beforehand. Tried to save it, but not to be--think it lasted about 4 or 5 days!
