They should fit any Sony camera.

Minolta lenses will directly fit any Sony 'A' mount camera and will fit 'E' mount (mirrorless - ILCE) cameras with a relatively inexpensive adapter.

I'm not familiar with that Minolta camera. If it's a manual focus model, then the lenses won't fit any camera without an adapter and even then their functions would be limited. If they are auto focus, then they may fit & work with with most Sony DSLR's. I have older Minolta manual focus lenses that I use with adapters on my mirrorless Olympus cameras.

You have older Minolta AF lenses, good news is that they will fit and function on any Sony 2 digit, or three digit camera models. Bad news is that they will not fit any Sony single digit or 4 digit cameras as they use a totally different lens mount (unless you purchase an expensive adapter).

Isn't the Minolta 6000 a photocopier?

In fact, you could use any of the Sony LA-EAx adapters, but you would only get autofocus with LA-EA2 and LA-EA4.

For comparison, see
https://us.en.kb.sony.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/37304/~/what-is-the-difference-between-the-la-ea1,...

LA EA1 and 2 is for APS-C only, LA-EA3 and 4 can be used on both APS-C and full frame.

1 and 3 offer autofocus only with SAM and SSM lenses and as I heard, it is slow anyway, so I would only recommend these only if you mostly focus manually. The one advantage is the lack of the SLT mirror, so they have slight advantage for low light photography.

2 and 4 have the SLT mirror and screw drive for older lenses(like your Minolta), so they focus the same as the A-mount SLT cameras.

Your ILCE 6000 is APS-C, so you are OK with all of them, but if you have full frame A-mount lenses like the Minolta 75-300, buying the LA-EA4 is more futureproof should you want to switch to a full frame E-mount camera later.

I too have several Minolta lenses.
Adn I was told the dame; Minalta will fit the Sony camera A & E.
The store told me that Minalta was boought by Sony some time back, this is why so many fit.
I'd like to try but cannot find a Sony to try the Minalta's on before purchase.

Minolta has three lens mounts -- MC, MD, and AF. Sony A mount is the same as the Minolta AF. Sony E mount is for their mirrorless cameras.

There are good lenses in all those mounts and adaptors can be found for their use.

MC & MD lenses both were the same Minolta "SR" bayonet mount, MC referred to lenses with a meter coupling, and MD referred to lenses with aperture control levers. With neither feature they are simply SR lenses. The actual mount was identical on all these lenses and they are interchangeable on any adapter.
