Hi guys:
In a couple of hours I'm going there. Has anyone been there with a "Do not miss" subject in mind? We only have a few hours, not enough time to take one of their tours.

Sorry but two hours will allow for a drive thru and provide sufficient encouragement to go back. Beautiful place especially in the right light.

Great Place. Did it last June. Two hours allows you to do most of it. Enough time for dozens of snapshots with less time for composition. Visit Indian museum nearby. Enjoy!

Unfortunately the steep nature of the sides require a great deal of time for light to bring out the best. The colors and textures of the red rock are outstanding, but you will be lucky to get more than a very few spots with the best lighting in a brief trip.

Lots of great shots from the blacktop. To get the colors of the rocks at mid-day, you might need to tweek in something like Photoshop.

The area up the road from the visitor center is best. Great short hike at the end of it.

Keep eyes open for Bighorn Sheep,

It would hard to find a more beautiful hike than the Fire Wave area anywhere. But, two hours won't cut it and early morning is best. We've done almost every hike at Valley of Fire and loved every one of them but you need more time!
