The do get used to us humans. When I was a kid I had a squirrel in the yard that would sit on my lap and eat the nuts I fed him.

I don't know what it is about squirrels. They always seem to run in front of your wheels when you drive through the neighborhood.
Kind of like someone stopping at the tracks but still try to cross against an oncoming train.
