Randy, if they were with us year round they might be appreciated less. This one is a beauty and while it is sad to see them go, there is the promise of a glorious return next year!

Madame P isn't the only delicate flower to be missing from the Ministry of Mayhem grounds. Wind chills forecast in the teens later today, and the roses have said 'Hasta la vista, auf wiedersehen, and we're outta here' until next year.
But like our favorite wicked witch, they hold a special place in our hearts, and will be sorely missed.
it's always good to stop and smell the roses and shoot them too when they are as beautiful as your rose tp.
it's sad to see them go, but good to know they will survive the winter and come back to bloom so beautifully again.!
i hope our favorite wicked witch is feeling better and stronger every day.

Thanks, Carol, and very true. What we obtain too easily, we value too little, whether material goods, roses, or Dark Ladies, lol.
Thanks for your kind comments and visit. It's always much appreciated!
Randy, excellent capture, color and composition! Well done!
Great shot and pp work Randy and like Madame P the roses will be back...

Thanks, MT. I do enjoy my roses, and altho this bloom wasn't perfect, it was still worth a shot or two, then had some fun making a parfait background for it. They'll be back late next May, and I'll be very happy to see them again.
Madame P is coming along, still painful, but less so now. I've been delivering a dozen fresh 'painkillers' to her each week (yesterday's were a very pretty shade of pink, as opposed to the deep red one in this shot), as they are very therapeutic and have magical properties for lifting the spirits (or so the Dark Ladies tell me. I can't say it's true, but I'm not about to dispute a Dark Lady, lol!)
Thanks for stopping by and your kind comments, they're always very much appreciated!

Thanks, Bill. Did more messing about with the background for this one than for the rose itself. Very raspberry parfait-like, lol. Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for your kind words and visit, they're always much appreciated!

Thanks, Val. Glad you enjoyed this one. I'm hoping Madame P will return long before the roses do, but looking forward to having both of them back again, lol.
Thanks for your very kind words and visit, I always very much appreciate it!
Thanks, Jerry. A rose by another name would smell as sweet, but would it look so good without Photoshop? Hmm--there's the question, lol.
Glad you enjoyed the image, and thanks as always for your visit and positive comment. It's much appreciated!
What a beautiful artistic presentation my friend, superb work.
Excellent photo, Randy. You brought a tear to my eye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
