Partly sunny day when I took these photos of 3 different squirrels. (These are small Red Squirrels-body length about 8-9 inches. They are not Fox Squirrels which are much larger).

Photo #1- Canon 5Dsr - Canon 100-400 II @ 299mm - Canon 1.4x III - 1/640 - f/10 - ISO @ 640. Distance was about 50-60 feet.
Photo #2- Canon 5Dsr - Canon 100-400 II @ 255mm - Canon 1.4x III - 1/320 - f/8 - ISO @ 640. Distance was about 40-50 feet.
Photo #3- Canon 5Dsr - Canon 100-400 II @ 560mm - Canon 1.4x III - 1/640 - f/13 - ISO @ 640. Distance was about 50-60 feet.

Terrific images Regis. All are super, but I especially like that expressive face in #2.

Not a fan of red squirrels. No problem with the grey ones. Last winter was our one in NH. One night we heard a lot of noise in the ceilings. At first, we could not understand what it was. In talking to some friends it appeared some squirrels had found a way into the house. We called an exterminator. Some $600.00 later they were gone. They were red squirrels I guess the grey ones know their place. My husband now has a pellet rifle. I do believe the problem will not happen again. Whenever he sees them around the bird feeder he goes into his Marine mode. I think he calls it lock and load.
