I have had it since the start also Jerry and I think it's well worth the price.
and you get free returns on many items like.......lenses!!!!! so you can try a lens for a few weeks and return it without issues if you decide it wasn't what you wanted. 'Inaccurate web description' or 'bought by mistake' are 2 of the reasons you can select to return them. Sometimes they only offer the return as their gift card but it is in full and they usually pay for the return shipping too.
I'm keeping this one.

Doesn't it depend on the reason for the return? If you just change your mind, I think you have to pay.
If I change my mind or decide it doesn't work as I expected then I "Bought it by mistake". I believe that is an honest answer. I'm not ordering one to use on a vacation and then return it when I get back.......

Right. When you buy something from a seller on Amazon, you have to wait for them to send a return authorization, and that can take a few days.
Yep, with prime I press the return button and Amazon gives me a mailing label. It usually takes a week for them to get it issue a refund. I had to return one of the first lenses I purchased through them because I somehow ordered a canon model for my nikon. I was relieved the returns process was painless
I love Amazon Prime. It has saved me a lot of money and I love the no hassle return policy. Well worth the money.

I have a UPS drop box nearby, and I usually have the refund posted the day after I put the package into the box.

I have only needed to return a couple of items over the years, but all have been quick and hassle free.
Prime is well worth the money for me
Yes, if you look at the Prime website, you'll see all of the bennies you get for your $99.
But let me key you in on another one that is often overlooked.
More than likely you are going to be paying for your Amazon Prime purchases via a credit card. Why not obtain the credit card that pays you 3% cash back on all Amazon Purchases? Plus it pays 2% back for gasoline and drug store purchases.
It is the Amazon/Chase Reward credit card. Once you have it, you simply set up that card to be the default card on your Prime purchases. Whenever you build up reward cash, you can always elect to deduct the amount of your Amazon purchase from your reward balance.
The beauty of this is that you very quickly redeem the $99 cost of Prime -- so essentially you are getting Prime for free plus additional cash to use if you use Prime a lot -- which most of us do. I am not sure if you can redeem for actual cash back into your mailbox, but I always use it for new purchases.
Yes -- there IS such a thing as a free lunch.

I've gotten over $1,500 back from that card. The Sam's Club MC gives a steady 5% back on gasoline.

1500 back at a 3% rate? What do you buy a car?
