I have been going to Monument Valley for years but never once have I seen a sunrise like this! I hope you enjoy my image.

That was the sun coming up hitting the rocks.

I believe they are called clouds that can shade portions of a scene one second and highlight them the next. They can also create tiny spotlights that will slowly move over a landscape allowing a patient photographer to capture special moments in time.
