Nothing heals back surgery quicker than standing next to a Union Pacific steam locomotive. But the surgeon lied. He said that he removed my bad disk completely, but as you can tell by looking just below my arms and above my belt line, all he did was push the bad disk toward the front.

Hope that's your wife licking your ear. Now, there's an idea for helping with the pain---- and it's not addictive.
Now just be sure to move before the train starts rolling. Speedy recovery tainkc.

I like it. I'm going to have to remember the bit about healing when near a steam loco.

Now that's what I call a good looking.......locomotive. As for that guy standing in front of it, he may just be loco, but I wish him a speedy recovery from all the pain.

Tom, I went for surgery because of bad back pain and numbness in my legs. After the op the surgeon told me because of the state of my spine he could only do one of the two procedures he had planned, he said he could guarantee the numbness would go but not the pain!. for about a month I was completely free of pain (I could have leapt over a six foot wall...well a 6" wall then) but unfortunately, the pain came back. since then I have had pain relief injections and opoid (palexia) tablets ...the injections were painful and a waste of time, and the tablets gave me severe constipation..so it's back to my tens machine and everyday painkillers!!.
Tom, I went for surgery because of bad back pain a... (show quote)
Oh, God! I hope that does not happen to me. The reason they went in as quick as they did on me. was because the cortisone shot had absolutely no effect. They tried the tens therapy also and that was a joke.

But yes, I am on mother's little helper in the form of opoids also for now. I just have to play the wait game. It is now Saturday and I have yet to crap since last Saturday because of them. In a little bit, my friend is coming over with his Range Rover to see if he can squirt it out of me.

Hope your feeling better soon Tom and I know what it's like to have bad back pains.I was laid up lots of times with it and on one occasion for 6 months so it's no joke . Great photo Tom.
I appreciate your concern, my friend, but I did not need the commentary. Lol. Ouch! Seriously, I do thank you, Jim!

You look pretty good after back surgery, just one question...how is standing next to a locomotive gonna make it heal faster?
I don't know metal ray transfer, perhaps! My wife says that I have the same brain to weight ratio as a chunk of iron. Maybe that's it. Either way, it was good to get out in some nice weather.

ROTFL Maybe that's my problem. I'll blame the chiropractor rather than the chocolate. Hopefully you're feeling better. Back issues are...well...a pain.
Thank you, Vic. Time will tell. The thing I noticed is that the pain that brought me to this point, is now gone. Let's hope that it stays that way!
